Speech-Language Pathologist- Learning Disorder Specialist, Apraxia Kids Recognized Provider, Fluency Specialist, and Advanced Training in Executive Functioning, Genetics & Neuroscience
Gifted, language disorder, stuttering, difficulty pronouncing speech sounds, dyslexic. I am living proof that your child can thrive in adulthood—not despite their language-based learning challenges, but because of it.
We’re Not Tutors—We’re Specialists! Tutors help neurotypical kids get better grades. We leverage neuroplasticity to change how kids learn. With nearly two decades of expertise, I remediate speech-language and learning disorders, not just help students “get by.” When real change is needed, a tutor, won’t cut it.
Vanessa Sievewright, M.A., CCC-SLP, is the founder of Twice Exceptional Speech, Language & Educational Therapy, established in 2007 to provide specialized, research-based intervention for students with speech-language, literacy, writing, and math disorders. With 17 years of expertise, she is dedicated to serving students who often fall through the cracks due to limited progress in traditional educational settings.
At Twice Exceptional, Vanessa and her team empower students with language-based learning disorders through personalized, one-on-one therapy tailored to their unique neuropsychological profiles. She believes in bridging the academic gap by addressing language as the foundation of literacy and implementing precise diagnostics, multisensory strategies, and continuous progress monitoring to optimize learning outcomes. Since 2019, Vanessa and her team have been providing half-day, intensive remediation services to small cohorts of students. The success achieved with these students was the inspiration to expand Twice Exceptional Speech, Language & Educational Therapy into the Science of Learning Academy.
But beyond her credentials, Vanessa brings something even more powerful to her work—lived experience.
"I am deeply passionate about your children because I was your child. I understand their struggles, their frustrations, and most importantly, how they learn. Because of that, I am committed to providing the most effective, compassionate, and research-backed therapy. With the right skills, remediation, and support, your child can overcome their challenges and go on to change the world."
When she’s not guiding students toward success, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, Ian, are raising their adventurous four-year-old, Colten, who keeps them busy with swimming and indoor snowboarding lessons. Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in caring for her three horses—Redd (28), Ghost, and Coco—alongside their beloved dog, Gunnar.
Vanessa’s mission is clear: to transform the learning journey for every child who walks through her doors, proving that with the right intervention, every student can thrive.
